Commercial Director

Mark has been the Commercial Director and joint owner of Kenray since becoming involved in its management buy in and buy out in August 2004.

Mark has been a joint owner and Commercial Director of Kenray since 2004, when he became involved in management buy in, buy out (BIMBO) of the company. His previous experience includes a long career in the Armed Forces, reaching the rank of a Warrant Officer Class 1 (Regimental Sergeant Major), before taking up a commissioned appointment in the rank of Captain. During this period, he completed a Forces sponsored Master’s Degree (MBA). Mark is responsible for the commercial side of the business, including the customer experience of using Kenray, overseeing all aspects of marketing, growth, finance, and general management.

Mark has been heavily involved in many aspects of growing the business including implementing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the ISO accreditation.

Mark was instrumental in developing and setting up key strategic relationships such as the partnership with Greener Corporation, who are Kenray’s strategic partner in North America, and was key to implementing and developing Kenray India– a subsidiary company in Mumbai and Kenray Europe in Rzeszów, Poland.

Mark’s passion for customers and quality/service has influenced Kenray’s approach to business generally. He cares passionately about Kenray and aims to make it the supplier of choice for all users of formers globally whilst also maintaining Kenray’s position as the market leader in this field. Mark has a passion for the Kenray Group of Companies, which he views as a family. This, coupled with his drive and commitment to continuous improvement and development of internal talent is the route to Kenray’s continued success.

Andrew Dennis

Technical Director

Andrew has been the Technical Director and joint owner of Kenray since being involved in its management buy in and buy out in August 2004.

Andrew started his career just before 1995 by studying his craft alongside his father, who is still a well-respected and valued engineer at Kenray.

With Andrew’s extensive experience in the engineering industry at Kenray, he remains one of the leading and pivotal members of the technical team today, offering a wealth of application knowledge. As Technical Director, Andrew is closely involved with the engineering and manufacturing teams across the group, as well as technical after-sales and service.

He overseas projects and production processes, manufacturing, performance and quality control as part of Kenray’s ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, which has successfully been maintained since 2013.

Andrew also works closely with clients and our USA partners, Greener Corporation, on key accounts and scoping new R&D projects. With a key focus on continuous improvement, Andrew encourages feedback, however incidental, from all Kenray customers, partners and team members globally.

With his knowledge and expertise, Andrew works closely with companies to find innovative methods for optimizing their production processes to cope with an ever-changing packaging industry.

Since 2017 he has helped develop and grow Kenray India– a subsidiary company in Mumbai, with goals of making Kenray India as successful as the UK site and has led the development of their manufacturing capabilities and processes in-line with Kenray quality standards.

Andrew is committed to all technical aspects within Kenray and is extremely passionate about standardisation, training and development. This collective expertise enables Kenray to achieve the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

Dan Atkin

Group Sales Manager

Dan Atkin is the Group Sales Manager at Kenray. Dan joined us in 2014 having previously worked for Wolstenholme Machine Knives for over 10 years as the Northern European Sales Manager.

Dan is a key member of the Kenray community and Sales team since joining in 2014, where he initially joined as a Sales Manager looking after the UK and Northern Europe. Dan started his career at The Sheffield Star in advertising and sales, moving on to the packaging industry at Wolstenholme where he further developed his sales career. Within his 28 years of sales experience and 20 years in the packaging industry, 10 of those years have been in Management across Europe, Dan brings a lot of experience and expertise to the table.

Within his role as Group Sales Manager at Kenray he manages the sales and commercial operations across the group. He leads and manages the sales team, driving performance to meet targets. Dan looks after several key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships. To guarantee the highest standards of quality in Kenray’s products and services, he collaborates closely with various departments within the Kenray Team to ensure effective communication is present throughout.

Dan’s passion for customers and quality aligns with Kenray’s, he cares passionately about customer service and quality of that service and product, ensuring all customers feel pleased with Kenray’s service. With his passion for good service for the customer, he ongoingly looks for ways to improve procedures for the customer and Kenray’s community. Dan is an incredibly well-organised individual that is procedural driven and is keen to ensure all procedures are followed, making him an important member of Kenray’s team, we value his experience and devotion to customers and colleagues.

Stacey joined Kenray in October 2015 having previously worked in logistics and within the renewable energy sector.

Stacey has been an important member of the Sales team since joining in 2015, where she initially joined as an Internal Sales Executive with previous experience in the logistics and renewable energy sector. She began her career at DHL in Tele Sales and Account Management, and at current she has over 20 years of sales experience and an NVQ in sales. Within her role as an After Sales and Support Executive at Kenray she deals with customers, warranties, quality checks, following up with the customer while providing support, sale checks and customer information checks. Stacey works alongside multiple teams within Kenray to provide after care support to our customers.

Stacey’s passion for customers aligns with Kenray’s – she cares passionately about customer service and customer relations, ensuring all customers feel more than satisfied with Kenray’s service. With her passion for good service for the customer, she continuously looks for ways to improve the service for the customer and internal environment. Stacey is a very well-organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a keen eye for detail. Stacey has an ability to connect to the customer and explain any technical terms in a simplistic point of view, making her an important member of Kenray’s working community, we value her experience and devotion to customers.

Amrita Rana is the Internal Sales at Kenray. Amrita joined us in 2022 having previously worked for over 10 years within the Education Sector.

Amrita is a key member of the Kenray community and Sales team since joining in 2022, where she initially joined as Internal Sales, Service and Account Management. Throughout her role as Internal Sales and Account Management at Kenray she oversees, maintains and nurtures relationships with corporate clients to understand their needs and guarantee satisfaction with Kenray’s products and services. Amrita acts as a point of contact between clients addressing their enquiries, resolving issues while communicating any updates or new offerings. Amrita works closely alongside the Group Sales Manager – Dan Atkin, to assist the Sales Team by providing information, resources and support necessary to close deals and expand Kenray’s client base.

Amrita is an approachable member of Kenray’s team, known for her creative problem-solving skills, which enable her to identify opportunities that align with customers’ requirements. Shelley joined the Kenray Team in May 2023 having previously worked in Administration within the Property Sector.

Since joining in 2023 with previous experience in administration across the property sector, Shelley joined as a Sales Administrator. She started her career at R.G Frisby & Small as a Legal Secretary in the Conveyancing department, currently she has over 30 years of administration experience and an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Business Administration. Throughout her role as a Sales Administrator at Kenray she completes order processing and offers OEM support while providing overall support to the sales and aftersales team. Shelley works closely alongside the Sales Order Coordinator and OEM Account Support – Julie Wan, focusing on supporting the sales and aftersales team to provide the upmost support to our customers.

Shelley is a detail-orientated professional who consistently brings integrity and precision to her work. She is approachable and fosters an environment for open communication, making her a reliable and trusted team member. Product Applications Manager (Group)

With over 15 years’ experience in the packaging industry, Gary specialises in developing tailored, practical solutions that improve functionality, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality. He works closely with global food producers and leaders in VFFS technology, delivering innovative applications that drive efficiency and performance across production lines.

At Kenray, Gary plays a key role in continuous improvement across product applications and quality. He reviews warranty cases to identify root causes and implements preventative measures, helping to close the feedback loop between design, manufacturing, and customer performance. He has been instrumental in establishing and building the dedicated testing facilities across the group to ensure consistent quality standards and improved product reliability.

Previously, Gary worked in the steel construction industry, leading large-scale projects for blue-chip clients including Rolls-Royce. Driven by quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, he brings a strong combination of technical expertise, project delivery, and a results-driven approach to problem-solving.

Jack Hayes is the Assembly & Test Head (UK) at Kenray. Jack joined us in June 2023 having previously worked for over 10 years within the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Jack is a key member of the Kenray community and the Test & Assembly team since joining in June 2023. He began his career within the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Production Manager for over 10 years, where he was responsible for making medical equipment for medical research. Within Jack’s role as the Assembly & Test Head (UK) he leads and manages the Test & Assembly team ensuring all products are thoroughly checked to guarantee products are sent to customers at the highest quality.  He helps assemble and test forming sets across various machines, ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout all Kenray’s products.

Jack is a meticulous engineer who consistently ensures that all Kenray’s products meet the highest quality standards. His approachable nature and effective communication skills enable him to keep teams across Kenray informed about updates on testing and assembly, contributing to greater customer satisfaction. Jack’s exceptional organisational abilities and keen eye for detail allow him to connect with customers and maintain long-term relationships, making him a key member of the Kenray community. Sian Bonsall is the Service Coordination Lead (Global) at Kenray. Sian joined us in October 2020 having previously worked in customer service and administration.

Sian has been an important member of the Kenray Team since joining in 2020, where she initially joined as PA to the Directors, HR & Health and Safety, and Business Coordination. She has over 26 years of experience in customer service and administration and has completed an IOSH Managing Safely qualification. Within her role as the Service Coordination Lead (Global) at Kenray, she leads and coordinates all service and technical visits (non-warranty), and all refurbishment work across the group.

Additionally, Sian has been instrumental in the implementation of Kenray’s Customer Aftersales App across the group, with a move into Service being a natural progression for her. With her passion for excellent customer service, she works with customers to ensure their former fleet is serviced to the highest standards, thus reducing downtime. Sian is a very well-organised individual who is always striving to enhance her skills to continue contributing to the success of the Kenray Team, we value her experience and devotion to customers and the Kenray Group.

Scott is the Engineering Design Head at Kenray. Scott joined us in 2013 having previously worked at Broadhouse Design Consultancy as a Development Engineer.

Scott is a key member of the Kenray community and Design team since joining in 2013. Scott began his career at JD Metalfabs in welding, fabrication and management, moving on to Broadhouse Design Consultancy where he further developed his Design Engineering career. Within his 30 years of experience in the engineering industry, 11 years have been in Design Engineering within the packaging industry, Scott brings a lot of experience and expertise to the table.

Within Scott’s role as Engineering Design Head at Kenray he manages the team of design engineers across Kenray. He leads and manages a team of 5 talented design engineers, ensuring the highest standards of quality In Kenray’s products and services. Scott and his team specialise in the fabrication of forming sets, guaranteeing precision and efficiency in every project. He coordinates design activities ensuring that processes run smoothly according to schedule. Scott is a detail-orientated design engineer known for his meticulous approach to every project. He ensures a culture of open communication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Scott consistently strives to enhance his skills and support his team to contribute to Kenray’s overall success.

Bal has been a key member of Kenray since joining us in 2010, first as the Logistics and Procurement Manager.

Bal has been a key member of the Kenray community since joining in 2010, where she initially joined as a Buyer, managing the purchasing for stores, overseeing responsibility of all additional parts and materials required for job completion. Since her time at Kenray she has gained a wealth of experience, knowledge and a skill set that has allowed her to take on an additional role which now sees her manage the transport and logistics side of Kenray.

Within her role at Kenray as Head of Procurement & Logistics (UK) she is responsible for general procurement for Kenray on a mass scale, overseeing goods in/out of the business, day-to-day business management, cost cutting exercises, white fleet management, key supplier liaison as well as any sub-contract management which may occur depending on the customer needs.

Bal’s passion for customers aligns with Kenray’s – she cares passionately about ensuring deliveries are timely for all our Kenray customers around the globe. Outside of work she is a recognised and successful member of the Territorial Army (TA), currently W02 in the Royal Signal Regiment SSM 64 Signal Squadron. More recently she received a Lord Left tenant certificate for her recognition of her 19 years’ service with the TA. Bal is a very dedicated and committed team member to Kenray’s community and we value her devotion.

David Jarvis is the Logistics and Procurement Lead (UK) at Kenray. David joined us in 2019 having previously worked in the Pharmaceutical Distribution Sector.

David is a key member of the Kenray community and Logistics team since joining in 2019. He began his career at Clinigen Inc. as the Logistics & Inventory Co-Ordinator within the Pharmaceutical Distribution Sector. Within his role as the Logistics and Procurement Lead (UK) at Kenray he is responsible for overseeing all business purchasing needs, inventory management, distribution of customer shipments, fleet management, customs documentation processing (import and export) and data processing of financial documents. David works closely alongside the Head of Logistics & Procurement (UK) – Bal Ross to ensure all general procurements for Kenray occur efficiently for customers’ requirements.

David is a detail-orientated Logistics and Procurement Lead, he cares passionately about ensuring deliveries are timely for all of Kenray’s customers across the globe. Marcin Szwajda is the Production Fabrication Head at Kenray. Marcin joined us in 2014 having previously worked in the Metallurgical Industry for over 20 years.

Marcin is a key member of the Kenray team and Engineering Team since joining in 2014, with previous experience in the production of components and machines for the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Marcin has extensive experience in both production processes and in solving problems within these demanding industries. Marcin effectively supports the Engineering and Production team to implement improvements to meet the highest quality standards and safety within the food industry.

He coordinates production activities to ensure that processes run smoothly and according to schedule. Marcin actively identifies and resolves issues that arise during production to minimize downtime to maintain a high level of efficiency. He provides technical support to production teams, particularly in situations requiring specialized knowledge and skills. With his passion to proactively identify potential risks and implementing preventative measures to avoid future problems throughout production. Marcin is committed to continuous improvement and ensures all Kenray’s facilities located across the world maintain consistent production standards.

Mark has joined Kenray from PepsiCo International, where over a long career, he gained increasing responsibility within foods packaging, ultimately leading a team of 10 packaging professionals servicing Europe, Africa & Middle East.

His responsibilities are to provide materials advice, selection, optimisation and best practice to Kenray’s customers, and also furthering continuous improvement within Kenray’s technical function.

Mark is an established inventor, with 3 international patents assigned, and has spent most of his working life in R&D, entering the industry with the multinational Engineering company GKN, subsequently working in the plastics processing industry, and special purpose machinery design & build, before a long and colourful career with PepsiCo.

He has a wealth of experience of a wide range of foods packaging technologies and their associated materials, particularly sustainable materials of late.  He is a certified Kaizen leader and has successfully led numerous overseas food packaging projects in the EAME region in locations such as Israel, South Africa, Egypt, Russia, Turkey, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and Saudi Arabia.

Networked and knowledgeable, he prides himself on being solution focused, never short of ideas and enthusiasm, and enjoys motivating and inspiring others.

Group Finance Manager

Andy is responsible for all the finance functions within Kenray. Covering Accounts preparation, management accounts, prepayments & accruals, VAT, EC Sales lists and Intrastate returns.

Andy is a key member of the Kenray community and Finance team since joining in 2014, He has a wealth of 32 years’ worth of experience in the Finance sector for the corporate world and manufacturing environments, where his career started in the Engineering – Metal Box industry. Andy also has a widely recognised AAT qualification, that has allowed him to gain valuable experience and expertise in managing Finance’s, that is valuable to Kenray’s team.

Within his role as Group Finance Manager at Kenray, he is responsible for all the finance functions and financial decisions within Kenray, covering all accounts preparation, managing of accounts, prepayments and accruals, VAT, EC sales lists, intrastate returns and ensuring all financial legalities are met. He also leads a small finance team based at the head office of Kenray and produces regular management report, with his expertise knowledge and experience he provides Kenray with a tactical advantage to enable a driving force in relation to financial and decision-making aspects towards the business.

Andy’s passion towards problem solving aligns with Kenray’s solution orientated service – he cares passionately about problem solving abilities in the ever-changing world of technology and innovation. As an open and approachable individual, he enjoys dealing with the UK and overseas markets where it allows him to be solution orientated and to adapt to any difficulties approached with, giving Kenray the best opportunities.
